Greyer days

Greyer Days

Yes, how awful,

That you must see this through,

Yes, how woeful,

That this phone call is for you.

Yes, very dim,

That you forgot to pay the bill,

Yes, how terrible,

That your child cannot stay still.

Yes, how silly,

That you'll get your pay next week,

Yet, how ordinary,

How silent, how small, how meek.

Yes, how calm,

But you know your face betrays,

Yet, you say,

I've seen far greyer days.

Just another book

She sat on the river bank,
A little girl trapped in a book,
Her eyes glued to the pages,
Away she didn’t dare to look.

The area was abandoned,
She found it perfect to read,
The book is about a leader,
Who found it perfect to lead.

Her hair covered her beauty,
But she really didn’t care,
What was without the beauty on the inside?
The outside so bare.

She read the last page,
But didn’t want the book to end,
However, everything that starts finds a finish,
Just around the river bend.

Finally she tore her gaze,
Thinking about the leader,
You’d think just another book would have no effect,
On such a voracious reader.

But the book triggered a part of her,
She never knew she had,
She thought so much about the book,
It would have driven her mad.

But then she went to the library,
And a book caught her eye,
And when she started reading it,
Oh my, oh my, oh my!!

An Eternal Bond

Mother, your love,
It has got mountains, rivers, and the sea shore,
Mother, your life,
Has got so much more in store.

You are the beauty of the earth,
You are the flowing of water
This is my love for you
From your beloved daughter.

You are the whistle of the wind,
The burning of the sun
Your beauty has no bounds
You are the magnificent one.

You are the warmth of the fire
The firmness of the ground
You might not know me for a moment
But I know your love will come around.

Survived

Through the storm of words and hate
She stayed strong and fought against her fate

Through her dark days for the best she strived
And through her cut and bruises she survived

Bleeding through her core and soul
She fought to take back the life they stole

Falling down every time she tried
Against all odds she survived

Stumbling every step she takes
Unseen behind the smile she fakes

To be safe and stay alive
She gave what was needed to survive

When she walked past me

Along with the wind,
I sway and think of her,
I think of how she walked past me,
Her coat lined with soft fur.

She smelled of a sweet scent,
Her lips were rose red,
Her rosy pink cheeks,
She walked like she had a crown on her head.

She had pale but fresh skin,
Big eyes that had a shine,
A light so beautiful,
I wish it was mine.

With her gentle fingers,
She stroked her soft blonde hair,
She looked at me and smiled,
To speak to her, I would not dare.

As gracefully as a peacock,
She walked past me,
She made me sit frozen,
With her youthful beauty.

If you really knew me

If you really knew me,
You would feel my pain,
My life has led me down,
To this dark and sad lane.

If you really knew me,
You would hear my cries,
Understand my heart,
Torn apart with lies.

If you really knew me,
You would try to feel,
The wounds that I have,
Which have failed to heal.

If you really knew me,
You would try to smell,
The scent of my life,
The story I have to tell.

If you really knew me,
You would be my friend,
My broken and damaged life,
You would try to mend.

The fences

If I look out my window
I see the mountain
Beyond the fences
I hear the river hum

The beautiful flowers of the nature
When the daily market chatter
The grief inside the fences
Doesn't really matter

I see the shiny sparks
I see the bright light
But inside the fences
It's as dark as midnight

The grass looks so green
Outside that fence
But on the inside
The forest gets so dense

Life might seem so dark
The grass looks greener on the other side
But step outside the fences
There is nothing to hide

The fence might be reaching the sky
But you are a free bird
YOU CAN FLY
